stepping motor/tickover

Post by Pandora »

Hi Guys ( & dolls ). I have a Marlin with a supercherged 3.9 RV8, which has just come back from two weeks in France. Car behaved very well othet than when stopping @ junctions etc the rpm would drop right down to o, sometimes picking up & sometimes not. I assume this is the stepping motor not reacting quickly enough, as I am told they can be sluggish. Or is it that the TPS needs adjustment?? Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

They can get all gummed up after time so the first thing I would do is remove it and clean it. Make sure the hole supplying it from the throttle is clear as well.

Thanks Marki,

I did clean the stepping motor before going to France, but I did not check the pipe, so will do this and come back.

Thanks again
Norman
