Megasquirt to LC1 help

Hi Guys, just about got all the megasquirt wired up but i can't get the LC1 to talk to the megasquirt? it did when i first had it and if i unplug the megasquirt and plug in the LC1 it gives me a read out, am i missing something basic? thanks john
