RV8 - flywheel install - ARP bolts
Noooooo. I thought I'd be stopped by a missing bolt this weekend, almost right. It seems that the gap between the bolt head and the centre spigot housing in the crank is too small for my socket to fit over for a complete turn of the bolt.
I have tried all my socket sets I have and they all exhibit the same clearance issue.
I have also tried my crowfeet spanners but as these bolts heads are 12 point they do not fit. Same issue when using a spark plug socket.
Anyone else had this issue?

But did you use standard 7/16" head studs, or larger 1/2" head studsadamnreeves wrote:I didn't have any trouble with my ARP head studs, standard socket was fine.

The damn socket wont fit anymore !!! handy that they are both 3/4"/19mm socket size.
Same socket now does flywheel bolts and big head studs

I bought the standard ARP studs. I think the socket I used was a 5/8" so probably the 7/16" ones.
