LT77 (SD1) rear mounting bushes

Post by marsbar »

Apologies if I've missed an answer to this in the forum but......
I'm looking to replace the rear gearbox rubber mounts with polyurethane ones but I can't find any. I can find polyurethane replacements for the gearbox remote bushes and also the bush for the central bolt in the rear mounting bracket but not the main bobbins. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a supplier?
TIA
Chris

Thanks Ian, looks like engine mounts only but I will reach out to them and see what they say.

I'm not sure I see much benefit in polybushes for the gearbox?

from here: https://www.shop4autoparts.net/parts/ge ... -gbox-sd1/
NOMINAL SIZE mm
Overall Length (Inc Studs) 69.4
Bush Length (Rubber) 35
Bush Diameter 45.6
Stud Length 17
Stud Thread M8

Could try something like:
https://www.polymax.co.uk/anti-vibratio ... bin-mount/
Put in what size you need and the have a selection of materials. Have not used them before.

example:
Article No. D (mm) H (mm) G x L (mm) Max Load Comp (kg) Max Shear Load (kg)
A5035M823-2 50 35 M8 x 23 154.80 53.00

You can DIY poly bushes - get some 2 part polyurethane, you can get it in different shore grades - make a simple tube mould, providing your threads and plates are serviceable?
