Not having much luck in my quest for information on fitting a Rover V8 into my granada.
Perhaps someone has some information on fitting one of these engines into a Sierra, which is very similar? I have access to one of these cars too.
I am aware of the site that has a breif descrition of fitting but there is not really much to go on there.
Any information on mountings, sump fitting, sub frame mods, power steering etc. would be great.
The knowledge must be out there!

Hi,
We did one of these a few years ago, and it was a fairly straightforward operation.
You'll need to use an SD1 sump and remove about 1" from the front edge of the pan and square" it off.
Bellhousing from Magnum engineering will allow you to mate up with the standard Ford box.
From memory we used the SD1 exhaust manifolds and then fabricated the rest of the syatem to suit.
Engine mountings were again fabricated.
We used a diesel rad with an electric fan, and had no cooling issues.
Rear axle ratio was from the diesel car and worked out at around the 3.3 :1 mark. Ideal for the V8
