The white block behind my coil is the ballast resistor fitted as per the instructions supplied with it.

They are out there sidecar. I've been using this since 2005.

I've been using this for years & as I've already said my cooling system is spotless.

Me to. 50-50 mix with tap water. Cooling system when stripped looks brand new.

That's how I set mine. My adjuster thread is M8 X 1.25.
1.25mm = 0.049" so half a turn is 0.0245".

I emailed them on the 30th August asking for details on material etc. As yet no reply.

As long as you use dissimilar metals I don't think it really matters. Personally, for the amount of time & effort involved trying to find an alternative I'd just pull the head off & inspect it properly before you install the engine.
