Thanks for the replies, Dave: Can you please provide more details of the sensor, which part of the exhaust system did you fit it to? Chris: I have a fuel pressure gauge in the lock-up ... somewhere. What gives me hope is that the wound_fully_open performance is OK but the pressure clearly needs chec...

Rover EFi flapper AFM, fettling. TVR 350i

Acceleration and general running improved after replacement of the throttle pot (thanks Dave and Ramon) but still some flat spots and general lethargy (the car, not me... although..), no obvious air leaks. The removeable cover to the AFM appeared to be unsullied by levering screwdrivers or similar s...

Throttle pot tracks are heavily worn and beyond my skills to fettle, although I can see how the various workarounds can be achieved. I'll try and get a reasonable photo, first attempts have poor focus. Throttle pot from DaveEFI now installed, things much improved but still some hesitation at light t...

Thanks Ramon, the flat spots feel like a carb running without the accelerator pump, at least until 4kish and then it goes well (full scale voltage on the pot = max enrichment)

I'll fettle at the weekend but a new pot is probably the permanent solution.

Thanks Ramon, I've had a good read through your website, unfortunately I struggle with smaller components so I'm hoping that there is a straight swap but this is looking increasingly unlikely. The pot measured 0.22v with throttle closed, adjusted to 0.34v and there is improvement, but still flat spo...

Rover EFi flapper, 1984, throttle pot? TVR 350i

3 screw throttle pot, fueling issues above idle, clears at 4k, some erratic voltage readings so looking to replace. I understand that these are no longer available, any suggestions for a supplier?

I'll answer my own post. Bought a recon box from TM Transmissions on ebay (no connection) and a clutch from techniclutch (who get a pasting on several websites), fitted by local classic car restoration specialist, not certain if he appreciates "plastic" TVRs but I'm sure he enjoys the test drive ;) ...

LT77 replacement. Essex or Suffolk

After 3k miles in the TVR. it's joined the Stag in the "not running" line up, grinding, clanking and whining in all gears except 4th, gear change very difficult. Any recommendations for an LT77 specialist in Essex or Suffolk? Although I now have a Stag with a kn@ackered V8 engine and a working gearb...

Back again, now with a TVR

In the search for a suitable Rover-engined Stag as a doner car for my Stag-with-the-b*gg8red engine, I've been side-tracked, a Tasmin 350i has appeared in my lock-up.

Happy days, odd how a V8 soundtrack can be missed.

Rover V8 rebuild costs?

Hi

Well, I've found a Stag with a Rover V8 engine fitted, but the engine hasn't run for a few years. I'm going to make an offer but I'm going to allow for the price of a rebuild; so, any thoughts on a budget price for a "standard" rebuild of a standard mid-1980s Rover 3.5 engine?

Thanks

Thanks HairbearTE, but I'm really looking for the one stop solution, I've had three years fixing the bl**dy thing and I've had enough! Hi Spittie_v8, yes, the noise is a bit special, I have tubular exhaust manifolds, stainless bigg(ish) bore exhaust and a Holley 4 barrel; it's a manual so double de-...

Rover V8 into a Stag

Hi

2nd head gasket in 12 months (different cylinder banks) and I've had enough of Triumph power. Anyone know of a Rover specialist who can install a Rover V8 into a Stag. Essex, Suffolk or Herts?

Thanks
