Sorry it's a little late but here's my 2 penith: :) The main reason cerametallic clutches are harsher in their take up is beacuse they have no or very little compresability (is that even a word! ) Organic clutch plates arn't rivited tight together, they are slightly seperated which means for ...

Chris, did you have any trouble re-fitting the relief valve plug and o-ring? I tried fitting it last night with new o-ring and lots of oil but couldn't push it in enough to get the cir-clip in?? The relief valve plugs fit fine without the o-ring. The old o-rings do look very flat! not very "O" like....

serpentine oil pressure relief valve help

I'm rebuilding my serpentine timing cover. Got to the point to re-install the oil pressure relief valve and realised I'd forgotten the order it came appart in... Looked through my 4.6 overhall manual, got to the oil pump relief valve remove/ re-fit part BUT I also have a small metal tube with...

I would look into getting a twin screw type blower (budget dependant). Much more efficient so would be less heat to try and get rid off.

Has anyone read about/ tried the fusion intercooler. Really clever idea I thought.

I used alternator pulleys. I phoned an alternater refurb company and they seemed to have a large selection of different diameters. I think alternaters tend to have a shaft dia of 17mm (ish) Don't know if thats the same as your blower. Would be easy to enlarge the pulley hole, maybe a little harder t...

The only way you can be sure of your compression ration is to measure it yourself. CC'ing the heads is easy if a little time consuming. Just done it myself for the first time. I used an old number plate a syringe and a pot of vasaline to find to volume of the combustion chamber. Then the same with p...

What's your nitrous kit? Did you fit it/ Tune it? Obviously very important to tune it correctly. Do you have any provision to be able to retard the spark? A real advantage with nitrous. What are the other pistons like? There looks like there was lots of detonation going on before it finally gave up....

Thanks for all the hints/ tips. Yes will be using an intercooler. This shows my old set up http://i709.photobucket.com/albums/ww91/robotombo/CIMG0150.jpg 3.5 supercharged. It went really well even though I was only getting 2psi boost. I was using a v belt and getting lots of belt slip and I think pr...

4.6 rover V8 centrifugal supercharger boost/ power limit?

Hi, I've tried searching through old posts looking for info on centrifugal superchargers installs but they seem to mostly concentrate on roots type superchargers which are a very different animal from centrifugal superchargers! I have a 4.6 rover V8 and a centrifugal supercharger (procharger C1) and...
