Hi, With regards to a cheaper ally rad I fitted an ally rad for the Nissan 180/200 complete with ally shroud and two 12-inch fans, this is a 3-core rad and works very well. The fans rarely get switched on via its auto temp control system that I put to it. The unit was bought brand new in the UK but ...

In their instructions Tilton advice Dot 3 or 4 but NOT to use Dot 5. I am using Dot 4. My master cylinder is 3/4 inch diameter and 105 mm long a...

John, I see your point and no I do not think your last was a criticism of my actions - wrong though they probably were but that depends how you look at the situation. You have quite rightly tried to put yourself in my position but not (with respect) my frame of mind. I live in Leicestershire and the...

Gentlemen I see your point and as you state John in the aircraft industry it may well have caused a disaster. It did cause a disaster, my driveway looks like an oil well. The problem was a simple matter of a hydraulic hose having two different size internal fittings but still using the same size ext...

Frankly I fail to see what all the fuss is about. I purchased a hydraulic hose to do a pacific job.. The hose was fitted and it leaked when hydraulic pressure was applied. The hose purchased from a supplier whom I was happy enough to deal with and probably will do so again. Granted the hose was not ...

John, The hose was taken apart, it was then that I noticed the internal fitting on one end was beefier than the other even though they used the same external fittings and thread. Stevie, Earls PAS kit probaly is DIY stuff .... but they built it - all I had to do was bolt it to my adapters then clean...

The actual fittings are the same size with just one exception. That is the part that fits inside the hose and over the very end of the hose ( not the braid ) is smaller at the pump end compared to the rack end. The rack end is larger and more robust, the pump end is flimsy compared to the rack end a...

Stevie, You are correct about the fitting - my explanation was rubbish, "A tapered sleeve" is exactly the wording required, not an olive. Before you read further lets be clear here, I am not putting Earls down, I have had no cause to moan about their work or products in the past, this could all be a...
