Re: Is it the Battery?
Thanks for replies. Well, inconclusive so far ... I did the following in this sequence yesterday. 1. Checked battery post clamps. Did not seem too bad but completely re-seated clamps and did up tighter. 2. Checked main connection to starter. Tightened very slightly so probably OK originally. 3. Chec...

Is it the Battery?
The same happened last year and I replaced the battery as the old one was five years old, New battery last September was a quality Varta 63ah so more than enough and conditioning charge all winter with a CTEK charge. Used the car three times since 1st April when it went back on the road. • First tim...

Update. I posted the same request on the TR Regster Forum and now have a very detailed set of routes for a trip all over the Yorkshire Dales.

Yorkshire Routes Wanted
My Daughter has bought my Son in Law a two day session with a Cobra - his most envied car. They are picking the car up near Harrogate and are looking for suitable routes to enjoy the open air drive of his life through all / lots of Yorkshire and its scenery. Has anyone any suggestions for routes for...

E10
So does anyone have a clue as to whether E10 fuel will harm an RV8? Clearly we all have different tanks, filters and pipes but is there a problem with the RV8's EFI system itself? Mine's a 1997 engine (without a Cat) in case that makes a difference. (Yes, I know E5 will still exist for five years in...

Re: Speedometer and Sensor Compatability
Both Speedy Cables and CAI do not seem to answer e-mails and I remember leaving a message did not work for me once. Could be worth a try again.

Re: Speedometer and Sensor Compatability
Why not contact Speedy Cables for a mod? They are still in Wales (next door to CAI who may also help).

Re: Is this a logical result?
Thanks Tom, I'll spend some time reading this up and at the moment I've left the AFR and spark stuff to what was set up years ago by Dale (in Telford) when he tried to map everything on his rolling road. However that was all abandoned due to overheating and I've never been back since. Obvious need t...

Re: Is this a logical result?
Tom, yes it is VE Live I use. During all my cooling problems (or very hot running) a few years ago the mpg then was complicated as I was also having problems with using a Racelogic traction control unit for 6 cylinders (as when I bought it they did not do an 8 cyl version) albeit correctly wired as ...

Thinking I will go back to the 75 degree thermostat if next monitor shows this sort of figure.

Acid will seep into the seams and will not come out (fully). Google acid dipping and see all the comments,

Re: serp belt tension
The power steering pully bracket is huge and won't fit in my Dax Rush so very unlikely to fit in yours. The pullly bracket required sticks out several inches from the block so it is not just a U bolt thingy. I suspect you will have to make your own to miss chassis members as I had to do.

Re: Needle Guns
Knocked all the rust flakes off of my D2 chassis with one. Interesting, so assume a thumbs up for a needle gun then. I'm quite keen as it seems an ideal way as you say. I really would like a DIY methood as I would prefer to do it myself. I will be using POR15 and may be a POR top coat. Used it on m...
