The MGB trousers manifold is as rare as hens teeth for an original. I have seen a few home made ones on ebay which would do.
I have the Weber / offy 360 low profile manifold on mine with the 14" pancake filter. This clears a standard MGB bonnet. Only just though.

I have fitted a TH350 streetfighter 3 speed auto. I have fitted a holeshot 3000 converter to allow me to hold the brake on while I bring the revs up just before launch. I'm told I shouldnt use a transbrake on my setup. I'm using the original 31 year old diff, just overhauled and with a Phantomgrip d...

I've only done one dyno. There seems to be so much debate about different dynos giving different figures for the same car. I guess the trick is to keep using the same one to see how the motor is improving. I found it interesting the way they work out the transmission loss on the run down by the drag...

Are we talking at the wheel or flywheel figures here? My old V8 in my MGB does about 185 at the fly, about 155 at the wheels with no gas. 3.5 litre with a weber 4 barrel and a Typhoon cam on pump down lifters. Quite a good increase on the factory 134 at the fly I think. With a 50 shot, it does 202 a...

£80 for a rebuilt RV8 block. Had to go a few miles to pick it up. But I stuck all my old bits on it, bolted it into the car and spent a year ragging it at the Pod while testing the nitrous system. It ran really well. I pulled it out as I had rebuilt my original block and sold it with the old gearbox...

Classic and Retro show at the Pod
Looks like it's not on this year?
Did I hear somewhere that the Retro magazine has shut down. Is that why its not listed on the 2007 Pod events list?
Bummer! I really enjoyed the last few.

The bottles are all pretty much fire extinguishers. The popular ones are Luxfer aluminium cylinders. For filling at home you should just buy a NOS in line filter to fit in your filling line. You could try warming the full bottle a little to increase pressure. I wont bother buying a filling pump for ...

Flux was the only firm who would insure my 1975 MGB with Nitrous. Couldnt get into the NSRA scheme as car was not old enough to insure at all. Tried all the companies in Custom Car mag, and all of them said that they dont insure cars fitted with blowers and / or Nitrous. Which seemed odd to me? Me 4...

Stevie It is very important to have the bottle pressure/temp around 850-900 psi. I use a 220 watt heater wrap with a pressure switch to control the power to the heater. This made a big difference on the Holley setup, and a bigger difference on the WON setup. The Holley stuff is rated by jet size and...
