SD1 sump to serpentine engine.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to fit the SD1 sump to a serpentine engine? I know that the oil pick up pipe comes from the front on the serpentine engine and am not sure this will clear the sump.
Many thanks.

Rover 4.2 serpentine engine.

Looking at fitting a 4.2 serpentine engine into my Stag to replace the 3.5 Vitesse engine. I can see that there will be problems with the height of the alternator which would foul the bonnet. Need to find a lower alternator mounting bracket from another vehicle. Can anyone advise please?

Tilton hydraulic clutch release bearing.

I am looking at fitting a Tilton hydraulic clutch release bearing to my R380 gearbox. There seems to be several different types available, has anyone done this conversion and can offer any advice?
Many thanks.

Marki;
Yes, the other one is for the injection system, and now you say, its obvious to be the temp gauge sensor (why did I not see that?).
Many thanks.

Rover V8 Inlet manifold Instrument pack temp thermistor.

Recently bought a second hand hotwire injection system and have found that there is a small sensor adjacent to the water temp sensor on the inlet manifold with only one wire going to it. Managed to find out that it is a "Instrument pack temp. thermistor", can anyone tell me what this is for/does. Ma...

Chris/JW thanks for your responses. The 4.2 is actually a brand new intermediate stripped engine to replace the 3.5 engine I currently have in my Triumph Stag. I have also bought a complete 3.9 intermediate serpentine engine just for the front pulleys/brackets etc. The latest circuit diagram I can f...

Rover 3.9/4.2 serpentine fuel injection circuit diagram

Can anyone help me out please. I am making up a new fuel injection wiring loom for my 4.2 serpentine engine(I do not have the original) but am unable to find the correct circuit diagram. The best I can come up with is a 1990 3.9 one. I believe the engine is about 1996 - 1998? Are they the same? Any ...

Thanks for your reply Badger. I have been looking on Ebay and come across several ECU`s all for the 3.9 V8, eg:PRC7081, AMR3242, AMR2944, PRC9061. This is the part number I was requesting advice about, there must be differences between them otherwise they would all be the same number? Also can anyon...

Rover V8 Hotwire ECU identification.

Looking for advice please on the correct ECU for the Rover V8 hotwire injection system. I understand that the 3.9 and 4.2 hotwire system components (inlet manifold, injectors etc) are the same for both systems except for the ECU`s. Am hoping to build up a system for the 4.2 from seperate parts, as I...
