I tried rubber and did not like the metal spacers (that can fallout). Spoke to Perry and have followed his instructions and never had an issue since with cork. What's to be next time I use my car they leak :-)

Hi Richard, think you will be surprised just how much water will by pass the cooling system via the 10mm pipe. Think it was Devon who shared the best way to configure the system a number of years ago. My header tank has large pipe that goes to lower rad pipe and has a small pipe that feeds from the ...

Where do the heater pipes connect to. Is it possible that the 10mm bypass pipe is flowing hot water from the top of the engine straight back into the bottom bypassing the radiator.

Question Paul. If I recall correctly there is an oval filter that goes into that hole. Does it actually work as a filter or just used as a method to allow the new filter to attach to the carb

I have Pel. Was not looking for such a large heater but it came up for sale in Amersham. It was new but did not work. Fixed in 2 min once home - was missing the bung where the pressure gauge fits :-) Youre welcome to borrow it

Well being the space heater was only £90 and we have an oil burner it is a cheap option to me. I am getting on a bit now and suffer from the cold so the space heater can add 10 degrees to the temp in a matter of minutes so ideal in my case.

I have just bought a paraffin space heater. Heats my small garage in about 2 minutes. It also has a thermostat so cuts in and out but would not want to leave it running unattended. 800 degrees C from its nozzle http://www.trueshopping.co.uk/product/Trueshopping_Industrial_Kerosene_Diesel_Space_Heate...
