Ok so I thought 300 zx turbos might be. A good idea but unfortunately there is not enough room in engine comp ,I'm using boost prerfomance manifolds , one side is to close to rocker cover, on the other side to close to suspension turret So what to do next ? My original turbos old rotamasters are wha...

Out of curiosity would turbos off 1.8 diesel be equally suited orstevieturbo wrote:Definitely throw them on and try it if you can get them cheap.
Although really if you were to take a pair from most modern 1.8 or so 4cyl turbo engines, they'd work fairly well too.
Would it have to be petrol 1.8 car ?

nissan 300zx z32 t25 turbos on rover v8
hi i have a friend whos into his nissan 300zx's and he thinks a pair of 300zx z32 garrett t25 would be a nice match for the 3.9 v8 im currently building, (instead of the 30 year old rotormasters from a old janspeed kit i was going to fit) ,i wont be exeding 7psi as only on normal slotted 3.9 cast pi...

I would weld a new pipe to the bottom of the radiator on the correct side. Is the header tank higher than the top of the radiator? Chris. Hi thanks for the reply, yes the header tank is higher than the radiator and is higher than the manifold, when you say weld a pipe to the bottom of the radiator ...

Re: Is single 70mm throttle body going to help or hinder
Hi there I'm modding my plenum so intake face out the front of the engine instead of out side so I'm buying a bolt on TB and wondered if a 70 mm tb would cause me any problems or would it be better I've got choice of 65 68 or 70 it's going to be twin turbo inter cooled it's 3.9 and want about 300/3...

Ok so the numbers are in, I know the cr, it's been to john eales ,the block was lightly skimmed to remove a scratch that happend in storage they put a piston in to check the capacity with standard 9.35 piston then added the capacity of the head gasket (cometic) the head skimed to make them straight ...

Standard 14 bolt - large chamber heads Also bear in mind that as well as the piston bowl the pistons do not come all the way to the top of the bore. http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd87/Dutton_Andy/100_3967_zpsvqknuvsh.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd87/Dutton_Andy/100_3964_zpsvb3joaff....

Not to confuse things! My setup: measured 9.4:1 CR, 4.6 block, standard pistons, intercooler and mapped spark/injection running 10psi and works great, no detonation. Haven't had the power measured but i'd estimate 350+ There are downsides to lowering the CR lower than required in that you loose dri...

Yes your right my mistake ,is it possible to get a thicker inlet gasket so I can use a composite gasket with my sd1 heads ??

Ok that clears that up, the heads 36cc heads are more like 32cc that's where the missing 4cc have gone , What compression ratio do you think I would get if I used my 36(32)cc heads My 22cc 9.35:1cr pistons with a composite gasket ? I appreciate your comments that the inlet won't fit , and I understa...

If as you say all 9.35cr 3.9 engines have the same pistons So an early 3.9 with 9.35cr with 14 bolt (36 cc heads )with standard factory fitted tin 4cc head gaskets and 23 cc pistons ,will have a gap above the piston including the dish of the piston of 63 cc agreed ? But the later 3.9 9.35cr engine w...
