Coolant / engine temp senders
Could someone tell me what the difference / purpose of these senders ?? They both obviously protrude into the water ways so they both monitor coolent temp , is one for the gauge on the dashboard and one for the ecu ??? Thanks Nick http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt211/nickshipmanmobile/9BDD4DC0-A...

Re: rover v8 cylinder head rear unused water ways
If your heater is always open, then you don't need to have a 2nd bypass. Chris. Thanks Chris one more question the return from the matrix where is the best place to fit it ??one of the reply’s said it should go into the top hoze so all water goes through the rad or should it go to the 15mm stub on ...

Re: rover v8 cylinder head rear unused water ways
Never heard of this mod being done or needed. If you alter the water flow, you may make things worse elsewhere within the engine. Hi Dave here are some pictures of someone's engine I saw on Facebook it's not my engine but they must have done it for some reason http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt2...

Re: rover v8 cylinder head rear unused water ways
Nick, Like you I use the P6 pump and like you the flow through the heater cannot be turned off. My return from the heater is connected to the rad top hose via a Tee. The connection at the pump is now not used and blanked off. The by-pass hose must always be used. When you look at the pump the retur...

rover v8 cylinder head rear unused water ways
Ok I’m building a rv8 that’s going into a tr7 I’ve heard that you can drill and tap the inlet manifold so you can join the two unused rear water ways on the heads, I’ve heard this can help as the coolant can become stagnent in this area ?? I was going to do this modification and was going to tee int...

it's a very modest power goal. 8 x 250cc's would cover it ok. If you're intending to use second hand injectors, then i wouldnt be worried about their design. Just buy whatever is cheap, OEM product and is in good order. Dont buy cheap...and chinese lol Hi thanks for the reply ,I've also thought abo...

If you want to retain them, then retain them. But if they do need fully rebuilt...there will just be far far better options out there. But as said, make enquiries with a few turbo builders and see if they can make something work with the housings you have. Ok well I'm pretty sure the roto masters a...

Just make a wedge shaped adaptor for the new turbo. I'm not seeing any major issues ? Stevieturbo your right , I'm just to bloody sentimental about my crapy old roto masters I'm clutching at straws to try and keep them LOL !!! I think I'm just hoping someone agrees with me and says have them re bui...

This is why no other type of turbine housing will work ,I'm thinking im going to have to work with what got , I've only got about 10mm space either side, 10mm between turbo and rocker covers and 10mm between turbo and suspension turret http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt211/nickshipmanmobile/02D09...

You can buy some on centre housings for Garrett stuff. IMO you'd probably be better off just making manifolds to fit some modern turbos. They'll be miles better than any of that ancient junk. Hi stevieturbo I tried making my own manifolds befor its a very tight fit it drove me round the bend , I ga...
