Re: Remote ignition module

Re: Remote ignition module

Re: Dissy for 4.6 Rover

Hi guys not been on here for a long while, thought I would finish this in case it helps any one, I found a standard RV8 dissy with 9 on the shaft instead of my old one that had 13 on it, put on a thick spring from a Ford crossflow motorcraft dissy and the old thin one from my 13 dissy, this gives th...

Re: MGB rear axle V8 and non V8?

Hi, Just found this thread as I'm about to do a V8 conversion to my MGB. V8 axles are out of stock everywhere and cost a lot more these days. Am I ok to run the standard B axle ratio? Only for road use, so will the final drive mean it's screaming it's sphericals off to get up to 70mph or will it be...

Re: T5 Cossie box in my Dax.

I don't know if you have read in another thread on here but if you are using a 9.5 in clutch the 10 spline one you need is CP AP 2346-70 thanks to Mike B for info. you use the std SD1 pressure plate and AP say its good for 300 hp, that's if you have to go that route.

Re: T5 Cossie box in my Dax.

My brand new factory mustang T5 box started to whine, we have had to strip it down and re shim it and put in one new bearing, if you look at youtube Paul C, when he strips a brand new T5 down his one has too much play on the layshaft ! I purchased a steel layshaft plate off Paul , if you get it thro...

UPDATE !!!

The brand new gearbox started to whine, its only done 600 miles, so we took it out and found 2 thou endplay on both the countershaft and main shaft, this is despite putting 3 thou preload on the main shaft when we put the new TVR bearing retainer on, the tail housing bush was also worn ! We checked ...

Seight-V8, Scott if you have filed out your bellhousing hole and its not 100% round getting off set dowels wont fix the problem, Rover size is 1/2 inch if you are going to buy them, you may be able to get some idea of how close you are and if you have a good fit to the gearbox bearing retainer/bellh...

I know you cant find one but the best way forward is with a TVR bellhousing, TVR front bearing retainer, TVR release bearing carrier, you can use your existing clutch arm, pushrod and slave cylinder, the release bearing is std Rover too, I machined a std crankshaft bush to the Mustang size, if the J...
