Connections all sound and tight Earth is also good This is the dilemma I have as the last time the engine was run all was fine and nothing has changed apart from the in and out for the modification to the housing Will pull it out again and have another check of everything Maybe I will take it to May...

Hi all Having removed my alternator to do a small mod for a different tensioning arm and then refitting I have fund to my dismay that the charging light will now not go out with the engine running after some time and a quick rev up The battery is on a constant smart charge which drains and then boos...

Real Steel down in Uxbridge used to supply them an would think they still do.
Its a kit car pump and they would know which unit you are on about when you call.

Apologies for not coming back to you yesterday but got got caught up in proper work rather than playtime.
Pump measures 5" exactly from face to end of shaft.

Real Steel used to do a very short nosed pump for V8 kit cars.
I have one on my own little wagon and it works a treat.
am out in garage tonight so will measure up from mounting face to end of shaft for you and post info up later.

Wrap the base with masking tape then cover it with a cloth before using slip pliers over the top of the cloth.
Hold the rocker box in a workmate or similar as everyone says they can be a pig and they are!

I fitted a couple of oval 2 1/4 silencers from Summit for very little dosh and they work great with a really nice tone to them.
Edlebrock do some really good units too but they are a bit pricey.

Hi Ivor Have you checked you have oil in the dash pots? Also have you checked the diaphrams do they have a tiny hole in them? Does the engine rev well and if not have you checked or even have a fuel filter . These can block over time and if you are running a Facet barrel style electric pump these ha...
