Washers come in a number of "forms" thicknesses and diameters http://www.fastenerdata.co.uk/fasteners/washers/flat/metric-flat-washer-bs4320.html So for instance a 25mm tube with an M8 mount - I would use a Form G washer - The tube I would use would be 1.5mm wall so a 2mm base would suit depending ...

Yeah I have just had a look on ebay, both washers and tubing are very cheap so I am just going to buy a few lengths etc. and see how I get on.

Many thanks!

Yes! Cheers Darkspeed. I guessed I might have to make my own, not a problem I suppose, more welding ;-)

And is a form washer just a normal washer?

I meant the cylindrical things that the bolts go into, that the frame is welded to. There are two that the top of the intercooler bolt to, which are welded to the thin support frame.

Wanting to know if I can buy them in packs or have to get them machined on a lathe etc.

Can anyone tell me what these bracket things are?

This may seem like a daft question, but I'm trying to find out the name of the small cylindrical tube sections that are used on race cars to hold bodywork etc. on, as seen in the pic below. It's the small parts that the bolt goes in, holding the intercooler in place. I need a bunch of these and not ...

V Band clamps

Anyone know a good place to buy V Band clamps and flange kits from? I've had a look but can only really find what I want on ebay.

I'm after some 38mm for my wastegates and a couple of 4" for exhaust downpipe.

Recommendations for AN6 fuel filters

Just getting the last few parts for my fuel system together. I'm looking for AN6 fitting fuel filters, need two of them. I see Torques are selling the 30 micron reusable bullet filters for about £16, which is pretty good value. Just wondered are there any other options out there to consider?

Thanks

So, got the gearbox mocked up to the engine now, all went on ok. Need to buy a BMW spigot bearing, slave cylinder and release bearing now plus some flywheel bolts and the manual conversion will be complete. http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s100/chodjinn1980/DSC_0553_1.jpg Decided to start on the r...

Righto finally got out to the garage again today. It's taking me ages to try and fettle the wings and bonnet to fit, after closer inspection the fit isn't that good ... and I need to do some major surgery at the front end on the wings as they don't meet the bonnet. After about 3hrs of doing that I g...
