I have managed to complete the underbonnet wiring, including tidying it all up and wrapping the loom. Just need to relocate the washer bottle, and hopefully get an MOT :) http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s61/quattro_album/130916%20engine%20bay_zpsrv5rzhlz.jpg http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s61...

Given the choice I would use epoxy paint. I've used plenty of this on my Sierra and over painted it with whatever colour needed http://www.rust.co.uk/epoxy-mastic-rust-proofing-paint/c28117/ http://www.rust.co.uk/filestore/3%20YEAR%20TEST%20SUMMARY%20PDF.pdf I scraped all of the underseal off my P6...

I am tempted to go it alone and set it up from scratch, but the chap I bought the kit from said he would set up the various parameters for me, to enable me to at least get it started. It's not his tune, it's him setting up from scratch using the details from my engine, to give me ahead start as it w...

Tuner Studio has VEAL - VE analyse live. If you have a half decent AFR table, and a wideband O2 connected to MS, it will do most of the tuning for you. But you do need the basic parameters for MS set correctly. How are you doing fast idle on the 3.9 with an MS1? I am getting an MSQ emailed over lat...

Hi Dave It's a narrow band Lambda; came with the kit. Although, I did fit a Stack Wide band a few years ago to help me tune the Weber, and it's still there but just runs a gauge on the dash now. The wiring loom was supplied, i.e. about 20 or so rolls of wire, wrapping tape and a load of fittings. I ...

P6 Megasquirt installation, at last.
A while ago, (Feb 7th 2014  ) I mentioned that I had bought this http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s61/quattro_album/100_5935_zpscb436984.jpg Now, a mere two and a half years later the engine bay has gone from this http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s61/quattro_album/engineDec13_zpse5a9b590.j...

My car (P6 with a CB 4L V8) came with 10/40 in it, but somehow it just didn't sound right. I bit rattly and not particularly smooth. I changed it to 20/50 classic oil and it transformed it. A lot quieter, pulled better and became super smooth. Don't know about heat as to be honest, I didn't notice. ...

Re: RP4 vs Cyclone
There is an RP4 camshaft in there at present, which I have read is very suited to automatics, mine's a 5 speed manual. I have been looking at the Viper Cyclone which is very suited to 3.9s with EFI. Now my car is a 4L (same capacity as the 3.9) and will shortly have EFI, so as I'm going to be teari...

RP4 vs Cyclone
Hi all I have a P6B with a few tuning goodies - http://www.v8forum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4922&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=4000s Although it's pretty quick, I don't think that it's ever fully reached its potential with the weber, and its often a bit fumey. So I bought this :- htt...

I take it that I can't log the stack system then? Just my luck to buy the wrong thing  So the AEM failsafe will plug into the boss already welded into the exhaust, will connect up to the vacuum on the carb, and hopefully connect in some fashion to the tacho. Then I can drive around, and downl...

Really...widebands are so cheap these days, you're just pissing into the wind trying to tune without one Yes it can be done, but why on earth would you bother ? You'll waste more time/money on fuel etc than you will buying the kit in the first place. Hi all I've been trying to set my weber 1404 up ...

I said it was an in tank pump earlier. :) I was told that it was adjustable in length, and that you could mount it in the top of the tank and let the intake sit close to the bottom, lengthening it if required. So, cut a hole in the top of the tank, centrally, then fit this 'in tank' pump and allow t...

I'll give it a go, and just won't let it drain lower than the reserve tank.
