Yes, as long as you don’t have to much boost, get it on a rolling road to sort out the timing, (don’t ask me how I learnt the expensive way) Put a grade cooler spark plug in, a boost referenced carb is best, but a good rolling road will sort it out (fatten it up) and make sure you’re ignition system...

My first supercharged rover was a 3.5 with Land Rover pistons, IIRC 8.5 compression, I had a Wade ro34 about 5-6 lbs of boost,
Certainly ran ok, but power ,especially boosted power is addictive, and before you know it,
You’re hooked, you have been warned 😎

I’ve got an emerald on my daily, been on there for 125k, never had a problem with it,
Mines got two switchable maps, highly recommend them

I believe the original had a single lip,IIRC it was superseded to a double lip
