When I had it, my XF twice lit up every warning light and message on the dashboard but carried on driving normally and a sequence of stop/start of the engine finally cleared it all out.

Oh the joys of an F Type

You've all heard me go on about the build quality on the F Type..... Here's the latest. I can use my mobile to start the car and have it warm up, so this morning I opened the app and entered the code. That resulted in it telling me that there was a fault and it couldnt start the car. Fault No.1 No.2...

I just traded in a V8 Jag for a V6 Kia Stinger. The way I see it, the twin turbos are worth a cylinder each :) Plus 0-60 in 4.7 is not too shabby....
I agree, the Giulia is 2.9ltr and 510bhp  and it sounds like thunder......goes well too

Will I ever stop buying V6 cars

So having had a rather traumatic relationship with the F Type I took the plunge yesterday and ordered an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio.

So another 2 years in a V6 engined car.......sorry I know I'm letting the side down.

Re: Hi. New member based in Lincolnshire

Seriously I would stay well away from the F Type, the build quality is appalling. Local dealer identified 2 misalligned panels in addition to the to the 2 I found. The passenger door has a 12mm misalignment and the bonnet is out by about the same amount. The wind noise from the drivers door starts a...

Welcome to the mad house.

Nice XKR, I'm unfortunate to be inflicted with a BL Allegro, or as Jaguar would call it an F Type

You can either go with the flat release bearing fitted in the plastic carrier - GRB90247

Or make a hybrid using the alloy carrier from FTC5200HD and the flat bearing from GRB90247

Its pretty self explanatory what needs doing

I'm probably way off the mark with this. If you set the gap on the dizzy using a ferrous feeler gauge you can kill the pick-up mounted on the base plate, a non ferrous feeler gauge is needed. Only remedy if this has happened is to replace the base plate and pick-up assy. Apologies if I'm off the mar...

Double S Stainless Sports System, not that noisy, but unmistakably V8
Sounds even better if you drop the centre box out and just use the resonator.
