I think I Really need someone to club me over the head everytime I think about buying something that looks good but is cheap- it seems to be taking far too long for "you get what you pay for" to sink in. You are probably completely right mr dnb and I should know it- I made those mistakes a couple of...

Lol yes I know but books are handy as you tend to learn lots more flicking through aimlessly!! Also its easier reading a book than staring at a comp screen!!!
Just want to read tried and tested methods and results and generally learn the topic as a whole!

Forced Induction Book

Can anyone recommend the best book to buy on supercharging? I only have FI mentioned briefly in tuning books but it would be nice to have a dedicated book- have heard that the one by Corky Bell is good and have got amazon vouchers to use up though there are several on there!

Rocker Shaft Outrigger Pillars

As the title- where to get them, how much and are they as essential as Des Hammill says in his book for engines revving up to 6500?! He says standard shafts will break at the ends if regularly used over 5500rpm so keep the standard shafts but fit the new pillars for extra support...

Ohh! More trivia lol thanks for that, they dont look very black then considering the diesel fumes and soot that has gone through them..

So can one assume that they are pretty well sealed against fumes etc and no conversion has to be done before they can suck a pre-mix of petrol & air?
