Nitrous on a ITB setup

I thought that I had seen (some time ago I must add) an injector that fired both fuel and nitrous but fitted in a normal fuel injector type space. So basically, you take your normal injector out, fitted this new injector in place and connected up the lines and control but I can't see any reference t...

Not sure if this will be any help or not! I once had a very similar situation, after an engine re-build (the dizzy obviously had to come out) I couldn't get the engine to start until the timing was very advance, over 40 degrees. I couldn't work it out as I did everything right but as the engine warm...

Nice job! I had 13 SD1's in a row in the late 80's early 90's, including a very nice V8S and a pretty poor 2000! It's one of the few "classic" cars I'd like again, but with a "slightly" uprated engine to the original :-)

Autotune can only tune the ve table according to other parameters like afr and spark tables, if they are not right then no matter how much you autotune it then the ve table will be incorrect!

I'm using Bosch coilpacks with my EDIS 8 and that works well so they don't need to be ford coilpacks, not sure what brand Thor ones are though.

I'm curious to see the result of your tests. Shame you're not closer as we could do the testing quite easy on my car just with a few clicks on the laptop rather than having to twist the dizzy each time (no, that wasn't a plug for MS) :-)

Pete, have you tried running your engine with your standard ignition timing but full vacuum to see what happens yet? It's something I keep meaning to do after "the chat" on the other side but my cobra is away for a few days so can't do it yet.

Richard, is it worth trying bank fire at first to try and get it running then go over to sequential? At least that way you don't have to worry too much about the cam sensor or do you need the cam sensor for ignition too??

Got to agree. I ordered an ecu from Phil and only when fitting I realised it didn't have the lsx IAC stepper control. I had a bit of a panic but Phil just said "send it back and I'll sort it". I sent it Monday, it was back by Thursday and the IAC worked first time. Top bloke! Engine running yet Ric...

Phil from Extra EFI

I had an electrical problem that was causing me no end of grief and, although I'm ok with basic electrics, it was beyond my abilities to resolve. I contacted Phil and asked for his help and via his direction with my multi meter he pinpointed, diagnosed and sorted my problem in a matter of minutes ov...
