Hi Stevie, yes 8 cylinders with 2 plugs, I'm planning on using megajolt as running carbs on this one. I may just rig it up as standard with one plug on each cylinder not used then can faf around with a piggyback system to fire the additional plugs later on once its running.

I wasn't sure if the sensor had to be at a specific point on the trigger wheel at TDC, after a quick read of your page it looks like it needs to be 50° off, so I will bear this in mind when locating my flywheel! I'm using a Rover flywheel and auto box, thats about it, machining an adapter to change ...

Cool, so as long as I can mount a sensor right up close to the back of the flywheel it should be ok, can I use a ford item for EDIS ok? It may be tricky getting it in position, I assume it needs to be mounted with its back to the flywheel so it picks up the flats of the teeth, as they are folded 1.2...

Cryo could help that too, if it makes the steel more ductile

And cap heads! Hoping I wont get trouble with the flex plate, seen several results on Google of them breaking, do you think its more high mileage or high power (torque or revs) that kills them?

IIRC some crank pulleys have 2 V's, perhaps the inner would drive PAS pump and something else, and the outer would drive water pump etc. Maybe you have a water pump pulley designed for something like that which does not sit far enough back for use with your single groove crank pulley?

Trigger Wheel

Yep, I just said it- trigger wheel! Only the thought of trying to get my 82 year old distributor with 16 leads to work properly is enough to make me be considering going all modern! I'll be using a RV8 auto flywheel, which has a 36-1 tooth ring on the back, it seems a shame not to use it as it could...

RV8 Flywheel/Flex Plate to Crank Bolts

Can someone please tell me the bolt diameter and thread please, are they 7/16UNF? The 6 that hold the fly/flex onto the crank.

Perry did you find any improvement with the cryo treatment?! I've been thinking about this for years, and nearly at the point where I have to decide whether do get my crank done or not!

I've had the flange cut with "crosshairs" included, and enough room to drill a pre centred hole in the middle to at least an inch, I plan to drill and ream this to a snug fit over the gearbox input shaft, which should hold it perfectly inline, the rotate is not as important, within a couple of degre...

Nice, I think the biggest problem I have will be lining it up dead centre! Had it made in 15mm in the end.

An Eaton M112 has got to be the cheapest, easiest to find and a relatively quiet option, my old chap has an XKR and the blower is pretty quiet, just a tiny whine to let you know it's there. There are loads of second hand ones available and should already have a ribbed pulley for your 4.6 serpentine ...
