That plate thing is to prevent you selecting reverse by mistake, ..when you push the gearlever to the extreme left (LT77) it provides the extra resistance by having the end of the gearlever hit that plate and have to move that plate against those 2 springs. http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u507/H...

Vacuum in the system would only increase this seal....

The rad cap is not the normal type - I don't know what it is called. But the important point is that it seals to the outer part of the neck (whereas a normal one doesn't seal that part). The inner part is normal, i.e. it is sealed to the inner part of the neck with a spring loaded seal. So excess p...

You need to have some kind of bleed from the highest point. Otherwise it will just fill up with air. The rad doesn't have to be at the highest point, but the bleed does. If you can't get your header tank high enough up, you can use an expansion bottle instead. Basically, you fit one of these to the...

Very basically a spark gap before it fires has a very high impedance in relation to the plug lead one. With two resistors in series, if one is very large and one small, you can ignore the smaller one for all practical purposes. When the breakdown voltage of the spark gap is applied and a spark occu...

Re: Oil Pump Priming (Again)
I know that on a serp engine you basically need to start the engine and rev it for a few seconds to prime the oil pump and I hope to start the engine next weekend - not used for two years and unlikely to be any oil in the pump. However, can you remove the oil pressure warning light sender and trick...

This goes some way to explain why std leads would break down - see item 5 http://www.go-lpg.co.uk/Hints.html And what it does say is to make sure you use OEM parts. :D the ones that dont last ...lol I like the copper core , i just use the existing connectors and tin them and solder the wire straigh...
