No need for a thin walled socket thats the same pulley TVR use on the Serp motors (and that 400 is ex TVR anyways) 15/16 socket or 24mm job done, even a bulky impact socket goes in there 8-) I read it that removing the damper via crank nut was what the OP was looking to avoid - Just wants to remove...

If the liner was not fully seated at the factory its possible for them to drop in service The alloy previously supported by the liner can move inwards due to the pressure of the fire ring - The fire ring support is reduced and can then fail. Its rare. Thanks for all replies, head gasket sounds likel...

Fingers crossed it's not a failure due to the support for the gasket dropping.

Be aware that 4x4 application bell housings and boxes are quite different from 2WD application housings and boxes.

Can't offer much in the way of an easy fix for the air filtration but I would consider separating the leads a little.

I would send the photo to ITG and ask them what they can offer.

I think I would much rather hand a part over to a man who has done the task before and knows what is required to achieve what you are looking for. Here you go mate I have pumped some slurry through your manifold for you which just indiscriminately scrapes away as whatever we pump it through You can ...

Is the Thor inlet different between the 4 and 4.6? Seems odd BMW would have gone to those lengths yet restrict the max BHP? I understood it was done for maximum torque. If after BHP, you might do better with the old inlet system? According to a mate who has one, the Thor is very good indeed at doin...

I'd struggle to believe those bearings of different size are the same part ? Are the part numbers the same ? To have got mashed to a different size/shape....they seem to have done so incredibly accurately for both shells. You would need to have some decent pictures to be able to see the shell and c...

If left stock the inlet manifold will hurt the numbers as the runners are are too small. They need a lot of porting work to get them to flow enough to keep up with the heads.

Stating figures is a guessing game as it depends on so many other factors but if you want torque and mid range that's the combination I would suggest. You will of course need to have the intake and exhaust to support it.

If you have taken those BE's shells down to the backing steel I am not surprised by that amount of material.
