Kevin, sounds a good idea to me.

Do you know where I could buy a flame trap and PCV valve.

Hi Kevin I believe I do have an old block, number 10A25915. The vent at the rear is sealed and the two rocker cover vents are connected together and go to the bottom of the air filter. This was recommended when I was first building the engine. I have no PCV valve. I have a Webber 500 with all the po...

Kevin

You mention the crankcase vent.

Where would this be? I have a vent tube at the back of the block on the right just under the valley gasket and this is sealed, or are you talking about the rocker vents to the air filter?

Regards

Oil leak!!

Gents I have just removed the engine and box as I had to get the LT77 checked over by the MGOC. The damn thing broke on me after only 1500 miles. Not so bad except we were driving in Ottawa at the time!! As the engine is out I am hoping to find out why I have an oil leak. I have noticed that the bot...

Tetlow power values

Hi Folks. Glad you had a good day. Sorry I wasn't there. The B was only delivered to Southampton on friday. I hope to pick her up tomorrow. I have a set of results that Dave might be interested in as there are for his bottom end. They were taken just before I shipped her to the states, so the engine...

Help In the USA with a rattle!!

Hi Folks I had a problem yesterday and I wonder if any one could throw any light on it? We have a 3.5 B with a LT77 box. We did a U turn yesterday and put the front wheels in some deep gravel. The car was going very slowly and no spinning wheels etc. After this turn there was a noise from under the ...

She is in a garage in Baltimore now waiting for us to arrive to drive her around for a few weeks.

This may be the last time she is in one piece.

Opps. I've just realised what I have done.

The manual said 9 PINTS and 1 PINT for the filter.

I did put 10 pints in not litres.

10 pints is about 5.68 litres, so I should be OK.

Thanks

Amount of oil needed,????

I have a just rebuilt my 3.5. I used a very nice block (thanks Dave B) and fitted all my orginal stuff on. All was reworked or new. My previous engine / sump was from a RR, circa 1970. The new engine smokes on startup and after a visit to Perry now runs very well but after he mentioned I should be p...
