the block and liner problems arent something which you can see.
Im not even sure if hot pressure tests can be 100% conclusive all the time, but thats down to the engine reconditioners, who have more experience.

try some k seal in it

sorry missed that!

you could have meant cylinder compression which is why i asked

its likely to be a liner/porous block issue

they can still run pretty good for a while

some down to earth advice would be try some k seal in it and see what happens

have you pressure tested the coolant?

and a sniffer test on the coolant?

best thing to do is weld something to it, such as a bolt and use a slide hammer to extract it

Got our blos fitted tonight to our 3.9 First impressions are. its allot smoother, picks up without hesitation, with it being a manual you can really tell Also it seems less restrictive than the mixer we had on and it has more power Will report back with mpg and after more testing its easily as good ...

what you havent realised yet is it will be slower with the v8

and the fuel economy will either make you drive it like an old woman or leave it at home= lower insurance risk :lol:

would it work through the idle control circuit on a injection vehicle though?

to be honest i dont know, but im pretty sure the mixer systems i have seen, the tb is closed at idle
