I know. What I can't understand, is you said you used the standard gear box mount. When I fitted it, it sat nicely in place, the rear water rail didn't foul, and the gearbox mount fitted in the front 4 holes a treat. Now it looks like the engine could go back another inch, but the next 2 gearbox mou...

As I say, at the mo I'm waiting on an acetlyne reg so I can get a bit more heat for this Durafix to work, but this is how mine is currently waiting. With Durafix you can weld dis-simmilar metals, as long as they are non ferrous, but not including stainless, so copper to ally is fine http://www.theta...

lol, I wouldnt even consider anything new from BM. My reasoning is, a pump wopuld never fail in a million years, the only reason they would ever be on eGay is if the rest of the engine got buggered, like cooked, or dodgy fuel taking out linings, or worst case catastroic chain faliure....so buying us...

I wonder what the n62 sump looks like? I'm still 1/2 way through doing my pump, ive split it, tuned down the end of the shaft to 8mm, and turned the other end of the m60 pump down the same, I just have to center my drill stock and drill an 7.8m hole either end of my bridging bar, and I've bought me ...

sorry, couldnt quite follow you there, I take it you ment the chain driving the pump is infront of the cam chain, so you mean the sprocket is too far forward to line up with the m60/62 chain? If so, thats just a case of pushing the cog forward on the shaft, bringing the sprocket backwards? This pump...

Well, the done way is always the best. I bought me an x5 oil pump, so while I'm waiting for that to arrive, i flipped the engine upside down on the stand and stripped it out to start making my sump. the standard pump can infact be moved back to the second to last cap, and a rail can be made, a piece...
