Figures sound good... I get approx 12 round town and as much as 15.5ish on a run from my 3.5. Mind you it is very flat here in Suffolk!!! I recently pulled my trailer tent back from Cornwall and got just over 14 fully laden from a 10 day break!! As far as vaporiser goes... Be careful what you get......

Wayno, As far as I'm aware the following is correct, although someone will probably correct me! Although the tanks are "empty" they will in fact still be full of gas vapour, they will just be at a lower pressure now so wont flow. There may well be a manual shut off, in which case close it,...

How curious!!!! Have the multi-valves got manual shut offs? I'd be a little concerned if they aren't shutting off the flow though!! As for LPG... I love it!! I run a V8 Rangie for less than the wife's 1.8 Orion!! Although I do seem to spend all my time fixing the bodywork!!

Is this definitely a constant flow or is it just venting the pressure already in the pipe? From my very recent experience, when fitting an additional tank, I know that it does sometimes seem to take forever to vent!! Have a little commitment and chance leaving it for a while after cracking the nut a...

Not to hijack this thread but.... I've got a 3.5EFi RRC which was on LPG when I got it. Now, I did have a lot of problems to start with as the chap who owned it before be belonged to the "Bodge-it-and-Scarper" club!!! :x :x :x However, it's now sorted. Adjust timing, correct NGK plugs, dec...

Making Brake Pipes - HELP!!!!

Please don't laugh everyone but I'm having a plot loss!!! It's about 8 years since I last had to make a metal brake pipe and I've forgotten how to do the flared ends!! I even had to buy a new kit as I've misplaced mine in the various moves!!! I've got the kit but I just can't remember how to do it!!...

I'm using renal tubing as I got it free... It's clear and a little more flexible than the original pipe but fits (sometimes with a little sweating!!!) PM me and I'm happy to send you some if you like. I have replaced all bar the vac pipe which runs into the body of the car (RRC) with less than a com...

Upgrading Flapper AFM

Just wandering if anyone can tell me off the top of their head whether I can buy a standard intake hose to run from a Jag 4.2 2AM Flapper afm to a standard 3.5 RV8 plenum? If so... Which one and where?

Ta!!

We had a few inches here in East Anglia this morning, although the wife was hoping for at least 6"

However it didn't stay up for long and it's all gone soft now... Just haven't got the stamina around here any more! :sob

I've got a '89 RRC with the same engine. Mine is also a little bit reluctant when it's cold, however I've always put this down to timing as I run on LPG and thus when I start from cold (on petrol) the timing is a little far advanced really!!! Sorry I can't really help but I'll be watching closely!! ...

Sounds to me like it's just 'cold smoke'

I get great clouds from my RRC on start at the moment and then even more when it switches to LPG. It all goes away after a few minutes when it's warmed up!!

Hmm, confusing!!! Generally, FWIU, LPG backfire is generally caused by either the mixture being too lean, or valve overlap (timing!) Is the spark VERY strong when idling on petrol? LPG needs a much stronger spark. Other than that, a few quid in the right direction in your local MOT station and they ...
