might be a bad connection problem when hot,
check volt drop on starter live & earth when cranking, ign disconnected.

just a thought,
cylinder head change. 3.5 to 4.6.
what head gaskets went on ?
tin or comp.
recall 4.6 heads have smaller combustion chambers than 3.5 heads.

i recall being asked ,
if i knew anyone who would "chip" a classic ford capri v6,
with mechanical fuel injection,
i had to say no.
but if you find someone let me know.

approx 3 years ago my dizzy was refurbished cost around £150 i think,
and the pick up wires were fitted the wrong way round !!

i hear that in 2010, any land rover, 90/110, series 3/2 van or station wagon type, with a oil burner engine pre 2002, will cost the owner £100 a day to drive in the capital citys emission zone . pre 73 are exempt. wonder if v8 conversions will go through the roof in the near future ? ? any thoughts,...
