Hi
I have read somewhere that the rear (flywheel) rope oil seal on a P6 motor can be changed to a lip type by machining the block. Does anyone know anywhere where this might be described?

Another Engine Number with some details
Hi, my engine appears to be an early P6 The Engine No is S452xxxx1D marked as 9.5:1 CR its got a rope front oil seal and P6 cast headers. It currently has a factory reconditioned 4 speed box (Part 594236R which has never been used since rebuild) and twin 13/4 SUs. The Block is marked up as 613796 C ...
