Hi,
I set back my cooling hoses...but not sure about the right setting.
i hope it's fine like as it appears on photos.
I don't know anymore the entrance and the exit of the heater matrix (upper or lower hole ?)

Re: RRC EFI 3,9 oil pump priming issue
News: After connecting the 2 hoses of the oil radiator, and bleeding what air I could, I managed to get a pressure of 30 psi at 2000 rpm on my drill. This seems very correct to me. I get this pressure after about ten seconds. The resistance on the drill is not very high (I thought I read that it was...

Re: RRC EFI 3,9 oil pump priming issue
I added 4 liters of oil, still nothing...it only comes out through the intercooler connection. I'm going to remove the relief valve and try again... I wonder if an air leak at the feet of the rocker arm shaft (deformation / very malleable aluminum), the oil circulating there, could be the source of ...

Re: RRC EFI 3,9 oil pump priming issue

RRC EFI 3,9 oil pump priming issue
Hi, Going forward with my rebuild (new cam and lifters) i'm stuck with my oil pump. I checked clearance and gasket thickness before setting. I tried to prime with an electric drill...without success. i have pressure on the oil cooler exit (i put a bypass valve) so i imagine the sump filter is ok. Bu...

Re: Range EFI 3.9 front cover oil seal
Manual says : Press in the oil seal until the plain face is 1.5mm below the gear cover face. Mine is just at the same level as i use a wooden block, and not a press. If i do more i fear to damage the face. Is it important to go 1,5 mm furthur ?

Re: Range EFI 3.9 front cover oil seal
OK i keep only one on my cover. I put the older one but in good shape.
The inner lip is good as the spring. The outer lip (photo) is a little damaged but it doesn't matter for the seal efficiency...
Agree?

Re: Range EFI 3.9 front cover oil seal
In fact, I fear that the frame will be slightly deformed, although I used a wooden block... In short, either I remove the 2 seals to put a new one in, or I leave it like that with the probability that the 2nd one will disintegrate over time between the 1st seal and the protection plate (n°3 in the d...

Re: Range EFI 3.9 front cover oil seal
I just wonder if i can put the two seals side to side. I have enough room for this. If the first one is leaking, the second one protect...am i right?

Range EFI 3.9 front cover oil seal
Hi,
Remove the old seal...looks quite good. Any more i put a new one but not seems to be perfectly "watertight".
Finally, I decided to put side to side the 2 seals, in case the new one is not 100% good .
Any suggestions ?
