My Top hat liners were installed by a company called AMAC at Northallerton N Yorks, if you want any additional info pm me  I used this company after they sorted out a 4.6 engine for a friend of mine, supplied by a V8 engine specialist after a one of the newly installed top hat line slipped, wa...

If you're wondering why I have 2 White Nova's, the Sport has been restored and built as a trackday weapon, rides a little harsh as a long distance machine but great fun , my 1.3SR will be more of a road car, any way that's what I told the wife

Hi Doug,
Sounds as if you will need to do alot of work to replace your std steel sump with an aluminium one.

I've got to ask why you want to go this route :?: , there can't be a weight advantage to go aluminium, or is it for cooling or something :?:

Good luck thought 8-)

Hi Andy,
Nice to see you've got it in  the wire isn't for the oil pressure gauge to the left of the front cover or temp sensor?

I had my 3.9 block fitted with top hat liners recently, obviously same process for a 3.5 block. Had Thick liners installed so that, if I wanted I could increase piston size to @96 mm, although I never will, probably  Top hat liner also gives a better seal, i.e liner to head rather than block t...

Nothing wrong with Nova's as I own 2, as long as they aren't chavved up  One is my old SR currently undergoing full restoration and the other is a Nova Sport I bought just over a week ago, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/1297cc/twins.jpg Sorry if off topic, both are 1.3's 4 cyl if you a...

Hi Ian, Regarding pressure testing of the block. My porous block was pressure tested internally to 120psi, the pressure subsided down to 80psi, but would hold this pressure when cold and not fall any further:!:. This was repeated several times to identify the source of the leak, it was even submerge...

On my original LPG Lambda set up I fitted a boss (18mm) at the mating point of the V pipe, you must however use a heated lambda sensor in this location, unheated won't work as it is too far down the line, been there and done it  . I have just fitted a full double S stainless exhaust and manifo...

My cover is an intermediate type with integral oil pump, surely the only difference to the later serp is the deletion of the distributor location, Not 100% sure :?: As mentioned camshaft would be different Maybe I'll shut up and leave it to the experts  like Jim and Marki  So the 4.6 ser...
