I'm running a 14CUX hotwire on a SD1 Vitesse 3.5 engine in my MGB I dispensed with the speed sensor, ran it at first without Lambda sensors, and then with them, I can't say it made much difference ( but it was more economical ands powerful with the hotwire as against the flapper system, so well wort...

Hi Richard, I've just pulled my old harness apart, and it's a bit sad looking, so I will take you up on your kind offer if I may. Are the Lambda sensors still attached to the blue screened wire ? Are they handed, I noticed the wire on pin 23 has a white sleeve on it to distinguish it from the one on...

Hi Richard, thanks for the kind offer, Perry on the MGV8 forum said you guys would be helpful. I'm going to try Bodgers suggestion and strip out the old wires, and buy new connectors, seems a pity to destroy you old loom when I can probably "bodge" mine. I will be back with the results sho...

Hi Bodger.

I did think about canibalising my old harness for the Lambda wiring, can I buy the connectors for the ECU socket fitting somewhere ?

14CUX wiring Harness

Hi, I'm loking for an engine wiring harness for a Rover V8 with 14CUX hotwire system, circa 1987 with Lambda sensors . My MGB V8 had a bad fire some while back, I've managed to find a wiring harness on e-bay , but it does not have the Lambda sensor wiring, and the diagnostic plug is not right, I gue...

I've just fitted the 123 Ignition to my MGB V8 roadster, the idle is much smoother than previously, ....it's going on the rolling road shortly, so I should be able to compare performance shortly.

I did it about 3 years ago, and have slowly improved on it since, it now has larger , 45mm shortened trumpets, and 65mm throttle, have just finished fitting a 123 Ignition distributor, ....can't praise it enough, really smooth idle and nice clean pick-up........can't wait to get it on the rolling roa...

I converted the Vitesse flapper system to hot-wire on my MGB with no problems. Although I am using the ECU from a 3.9 it does not over-fuel, I fitted lambda sensors on the exhaust down pipes, it's a much more efficient system than the flapper one, slightly more flexibility at low speeds, and a notic...
