Does anyone know what the recommended ignition timing is for a Piper 270 cam fitted to a 3.5 engine, fitted with a 390 Holley, headers and MSD ignition?

I'm thinking of fitting some Weber IDF or IDA downdraughts on John Eales manifolds on my 5.0 TVR engine. Has anyone fitted these and if so, using the valve cover tops as a datum point, how far above the valve covers are the tops of the carbs. I just want to check I have enough clearance to the bonne...
