My classic transporter (Goddess) should be on the road by then. It could take your boy and 5/6 of his mates in the cab but I estimate that it would be a 54 gallon round trip

How much pocket money does he get?

Alternatively I have a friend with a Rover inlet and quad IDA carbs for it. He might be persuaded to sell. No electronickery but harder to setup and worse fuel consumption.

Mike, I'm always dreaming  The Goddess should be finished next spring so I will need something to get me into the workshop and fill a very large void in my life. An old mate of jet dragster fame has contacts that could secure me a suitable turbine and I would love to make an updated JET 1 but...

The picture was a Gnome but what I'm looking at is a Lycoming T53 with inbuilt reduction gears for helicopter use that has an rpm output of around 6350. If they can get a Merlin in a SD1 then this should possibly fit.

I have been offered an interesting motor for my next project after the Goddess but it'll need an auto.

How long do you reckon it would last with 1200 to 1700hp at a constant 6500 rpm

A 40 gal drum of methanol is about £130 which when mixed with fuel will last a very long time.
Agreed, but you don't have to fart around changing fuel lines, renewing gaskets or flushing the tank after use. Now Toluene, that may be the solution but it's a bit toxic.

Might be easier, considering the amount you actually use in a year, to go to AA Oil (just down the road from me) and buy a drum of Sunoco 260GT PLUS, 109 octane - unleaded SUNOCO 260GT PLUS (109RON, 99MON and 4.8% oxygen) - Unleaded A fuel designed for the performance enthusiast who wants a highly o...

When 97-99 RON is just not enough In my eternal search for more power and less pinking I came across this very interesting site. My particular problem is 11:1 compression and I was researching octane boosters and this popped up MAKE YOUR OWN OCTANE BOOST How to make your own octane booster (this is...
