Coolant level changing
RV8 4.6, 2350miles Installed an electric water pump about 2 weeks ago. All the hose clips have been triple checked after some miles. Also check for leaks and tight as a drum. My header/expansion tank is alloy so I cannot see the level. I have noticed a bit of coolant around the cap and can hear it h...

Thanks for the feedback Danny. Glad you're enjoying it. Starting the engine for the first time was a really mixed feeling until it fired up then it was just joy. :D Nice. Thanks both! I'm going to stick with the std FPR then. Nice website by the way Adam! I have been reading it for most of the eveni...

Danny, I got the adaptor from RPi along with the FSE power boost valve and fuel pressure gauge. As noted here, I haven't actually had to increase the fuel pressure. I installed the valve just in case I needed to increase the pressure. I was told the response rate of this valve is better than standar...

Much appreciated Phil. VE quite close now, just a few more tuning runs. Loaded the map in that Phil posted, which has raised my 24degree max advance at WOT to 31. Christ sake, you can really feel the difference. My car is a westfield so it achieves 0-60 in around 3.5seconds but where you can really ...

My car is a westfield so it achieves 0-60 in around 3.5seconds but where you can really tell the difference is how quick it gets to the rev limiter at 6000rpm! ...

Stewart Electric Water Pump - Installation
I've bought a EMP Stewart Components Electric Water Pump - E389A off someone. It's brand new but missing instructions. It has a control module to which there are only two wires, a red and a black one. Seems straight forward enough. However missing the specifications also not sure whether it needs a ...

I have to say Ive seen a lot of poor maps done by tuners lately, this is one reason I always recommend V8D as they do know what they are doing :) The idle area will probably increase in speed with that map, and fueling will change a little, the main thing is it should allow you to lean the crusie o...

My fuelling needs tweaking anyway, planning on auto-tuning, think these targets are good, I've change the idle AFR to 13.5 as this is what my setup seems to like: http://westfieldbuild.com/resources/v8dev_afr.png You probably got my email address but just in case, adam.reeves68(at)gmail(dot)com Than...

Just looking at my idle position on these maps which is 800RPM and 45Kpa the advance is higher than mine which is 9degrees. To be honest the most I have tried is 12degrees, is 14 okay? Phil, Looking at the WOT on my map, see what you mean, your map is much better looks like I can get more power, I a...
