Originally it was a port of the V3 code but rapidly diverged from there. But yes it does use the same tuning SW.

I would argue that with it's current documentation VEMS is not 'out the box' yet either. But as I said before, semantics. to me a PCB track and a wire are the same thing. To you they are not. Life's too short when there are cars to work on. :) What I will say is that there are a lot more V8s in UK r...

MS V3 has one coil driver on board, Micro has 2. The new sequential has 8. Gets into semantics though. It a coil driver soldered to the main board different to one soldered to a daughter board or that is 'bits added on'. If it can drive the 24 plugs on a 27 litre V12 Merlin, then I reckon it support...

Not an argument, but just a correction. MS has natively supported ignition for years now. It is just that EDIS is such a good match for an off road installation most people go that way.

There is a sequential MS due out in a few months...

Misfires are funny things. But basically combution has not completed by the time the inlet opens so you get mixture that is still burning coming back out.

Either more fuel or more advance needed. Your symptoms suggest that it is the former, although I could be wrong.

Strange. Do you have a BOV at all there to vent excess pressure? Thoughts on possible causes. 1. crankcase breather blockage. Unlikely but possible 2. Lean misfire. Either not enough fuel or too much advance. Engine spits back out the inlets. Large bang occurs, then if lean condition continues engin...

IMH (but biased) opinion I wouldn't go for POD EFI. Enough people have done the MegaSquirt (or VEMS) conversations to make them pretty much a no brainer and all the steps are on a number of websites.

It might be a suitable block, but I suspect you will be saddened by the power output of around 115HP.

By vanilla, do you mean a locked distributor and MS triggering off that? In which case that is fine.

BTW I have just had a cancellation so I can convert a built unit for you.

I can't seem to find the pics on the web of the mazda CAS, so If I remember I will toddle up to the garage and photograph the one I have.

Although I don't recommend a dizzy mount solution it is easy to get going and nothing stops you going to a crank mounted wheel later.

24-2 is used in a number of applications as jap cars use that. If I ever get my westfield back on the road then it will be using that config. You will not get quite the rock solid spark timing of a crank wheel, but it will certainly work. As long as there is at least 1 tooth per ignition event then ...

Having chatted with a friend who used to work for dyson I think I may have been wrong. You could be OK with that. Only one way to find out :) You seem to be on the right path. I would have each motor individually switched myself, to give you a better range of flows to work with. Get your orifices ca...

They be dyson motors, so you need to add the fan (or in the case of a dyson the cyclonic dodad).

I must admit to having a folder at home with ever set of DIY flowbench plans ever posted on the internet for when I finally get a round tuit.
