That sounds rather a lot for a diff. 1HP=750W so you are talking about 26Kw in the diff. It would get seriously batsrad hot if it really was.

My thoughts exactly. I wouldn't have thought many RV8s could kill a TH350 let alone a 400.

You Eliot on the other hand seem able to mangle almost everything that the GM hydromatic division developed :)

That is as good a place as any provided it doesn't get heat soak. Where the 9th injector went is also a good place (unless you are using that for MAP take off

Re: New aftermarket ECUs at Autosport Intenational

I was at the trade day at Autosport on Friday and came across two ECUs that I haven't seen or heard of before. South African : Gotech-MFI at www.gotech.co.za Netherlands : Kronenburg Management Sysytems at http://www.vankronenburg.nl/ It was a good day out but I must have walked about 6 miles throu...

In which case I would mark it down to a non-optimal RR and do some manual interpolation of the graph down to 3000RPM

Certainly very odd. Above that point the torque curve does exactly what I would expect, below there it is all over the place. Usually results like that are from excessive wheelspin on the rollers. If that isn't the case, then there is something very wrong with airflow in the intake or some wierdy in...

As they said. Keep it simple on your first install. When you get to doing it for the second time you will know if certain of the fineries matter to you or not.

Any cam can be used with a turbo when you have EFI. The question is what power delivey/spool up characteristics do you want.

Most turbo cams are low overlap to try and get a quick spool up and a flat torque curve to add boost to. But that doesn't mean it's the right or only way to go.

Put injection TBs where the SUs were and run the screw wet. You'll have fun tuning acceleration enrichment, but otherwise will work well

Ask Eliot, he has broken most transmissions out there on his turboSBC and is currently playing with 4l80E boxes. Fora light car unless you are running drag radials I don't see why a TH350 with all the usual upgrades shouldn't handle it, TH400 is beefier but A LOT heavier.

vapourisers are by definition a major compromise. You have to live with that or go gas injection. There are improvements that can me made, but you are polishing a turd.

OK. Where do you live. Let's see if there is a VEMS or MS near you that you can climb over and take a look at.
