I've repaired it anyway and put the plug back in, as i think this is as Paul c states - a left over from the original Buick days.

In the process of punching out one of rear core plugs and being ham fisted, I have damaged one of the oilways (see pic) - at least thats what I think it is! I dont think I have punctured it but intend to repair with JB metal weld, just in case. What I'm trying to work out is - 1. What this oilway fe...
