in the end i got an edelbrock off ebay for 17quid, rather than the 140 or so RPI wanted. i wondereed if there was anything clever in the internals or if the power plenum could be simply made at home?

that was sort of what i thuoght. I actually rang them up asking to buy and edelbrock air filter and was told that they didnt have any left but that i should consider a power plenum. snorkel wouldnt be much use in a lotus seven alike kit car!

Hello all, was looking on the rpi site and saw mention of the "Power Plenum" from what i can see is this simply a remote filter arrangement? None of the pics on their page show the underneath so i'm assuming that there's something clever going on? does anyone have one? They're quite pricey...

i had a rocker cover chromed for my old pinto.
cost 25 quid at a local place.
wouldnt recomend the firm though as its pitted and looks rubbish in less than 2 years.

maybe if you get it done somewhere better the results would improve.
