Does anyone know the solenoid sequencing on the zf4HP24 gearbox? I'm going to run the box with a PLC and have it fully sequential using the TOSS signal to lock up the torque converter as well and for the speed. I just need to figure out how the solenoids operate to give you which specific gear. Once...

Zf4hp24

Has.anyone run a zf4hp24 without an ecu or another box? I want to run without the ecu and just use paddle shifters to operate the ds. You can use R N and D (in third) without 12v power. I'm trying to find out about line pressures and the lock up function on the 3rd solenoid. I've come up with a solu...

Real steel do stroker kits for the Rover V8 http://www.realsteel.co.uk/ http://www.avrosystems.co.uk/realsteel/section1.pdf Did do them. They haven't sold any for years and they moved all teh pistons onto Pauls place (I think). Why not use a buick 300 crank in a large journal block and 305 chevy pi...

When we set mine up at race shack they set the timing as per John (I think it was at real steel that used to build them) as 28 deg (almost stock?) give the best results. We also had to run it so rich that it fouled up on tick over but the AFM at 6000 rpm was 12.8% (if my memory serves me correctly) ...

Boost pipes

Okey dokey, Just about to order some pipes to plumb in my intercooler and turbos but here's my question. The outlet from my turbos are 2" and the intercooler is 2 1/2", do I step up in diameter at the intercooler or straight after the turbos? I'm aware that the volume change will introduce a change ...

Max stroke

What's the maximum stroke you can use with a Rover V8?

Could a buick 350 crank be used 3.85" stroke (if you turn the journals down) or will the pistons fall out the bottom of the bore?

Dunno, he's scanning wanted ads so could've been from here, nsra, eurodragster, rodsnsods and even pissed off heads. Bank transfer, I have his bank details, I'm just bloody annoyed that after it happened several threads appear and a load of others have had it done in the last week. Normally I'm hot ...

Scammed

I've been scammed over the weekend to the tune of nearly £350 - £400 The guy rings from wanted ads, claims he has them at a reasonable price, gives a name and address and asks for half up front and then when the parts are delivered you pay the remainder. His contact details are 07837 489499 07583 25...

To stroke or not to stroke? That is the question

Whilst I'm at the build stage of my car shall I stroke the engine to 5.0L or leave it as a 4.0L? Whichever I choose will have the twin turbos fitted. Is the 4.0L a better road engine, revs more with more driveability or is the 5.0L with the extra torque the way forward? Anyone had any experience in ...
