Where did you get 96mm pistons for the same cost as standard 94mm jobbies? It depends of your stroke :wink: . There are now other standard performance pistons than chevy 305 available for large bore conversions. Various comp ratios are possibly available. I need to re-build my Disco 2 engine as its dropped a liner,I'm thinking of getting the block tophat lined to 96mm,using some chevy 305+40"pistons and rods(not sure of length)and a stroked 4.6 crank 85mm? need a high comp ratio as it runs on LPG,any input would be greatly appreciated

Thats the one ,they have extra boss's cast into the heads,I have an early Disco 2 engine,it has the boss's but there not machined,just blanks.

My engine has dropped a liner and I'm going to build a 4.6 to go in it.The engine has the Bosch Motronic system that has air injection.I would like to fit a nice pair of 28cc chamber ported heads I have.Does anyone know if you can remove the air injection or will bugger up the ecu.

My V8D 5.5 made 370 bhp and 430 ftlb of torque!,fitted with a 404 mechanical cam,Rob reworked my standard 500 heads,GroupA rockers ,Emerald ecu and ACT triple plenum.
Griff was as quick as an LS6 powered Chim!

Robs 5.5 engines are bullit proof,mine once reved to 7,200 with no problem,and trust me if I can't break it no one can!
