Mildly scary that they're using stock SU's with no option of carb heat. Venturi icing anyone? I'd prefer it to be running a pair of magnetos for use in the air too. But then again, I work with airplanes.. and maybe the heads are one-off items, or does anyone know if the marine versions of the Rover/...

That was my immediate thought. I gave it a little more wind-out (on stock Rover/SU kickdown bracket linkage, so the travel is correct) to no avail. It had a fair bit of travel in the "kickdown" area- where you feel the kickdown cable tension up a little as it closes off the valve for kickdown. Still...

Holley 390 + SU fuel pumps.
Has anyone had overfuelling issues at low rpm using an SU fuel pump? I read the Holley manual which says fuel delivery pressure should be 5-7 psi, and the SU delivers (in theory) 7psi.. I switch it on and tictictic-tik---tik-----tik and the pump comes to a complete halt, but it feels surgey if I use...

Kickdown it changes (in my opinion) too early. Under gentle light throttle it's in top gear by about 15 mph, medium throttle about 15 mph, heavy throttle top by about 35 mph and kickdown top is about 40-50. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v298/nigefoxx/pickup/th_MOV00147MPG.jpg Note that this vid ...

Borg Warner Model 35
Hey all First off, got my bearings back after the forum swap.. Just fitted up to the tired old 3.5 a new(ish) carb to replace the wonky/blocked/worn SU's, and now I've got sufficient grunt under my right foot I've noticed that the box, under kickdown changes 1-2 at about 20mph (circa 3000 rpm, my ga...
