You can buy single head gaskets no problem from specialists like real steel and v8 tuner. I would recommend you do both of them anyway. I would probably get a top end gasket set as your going to have to touch most of them on top anyway to get at the heads. You could have a split hose or radiator but...

Check you have 12v at each bank of injectors if not you have a supply problem. Is the fuel pump running? Do you have a spark, no spark = no injection as the timing is taken from there.
