Don't go with the marks on the head as a 3.9 gasket will naturally have bigger bores to the 3.5. As Tony said they are the same head unless they are very late ones. I would recommend you get a light skim done on the heads just in case any slight depressions from the old gasket cause problems. Its ne...

turn the engine till No1 is on TDC compression stroke, where the rotor arm is pointing to is No1 lead. Its also possible to have the timing pointer at TDC but on exhaust stroke which sounds like is the case at the moment I.E 180 deg out.

personally I would make the gasket face out of alloy and bond it in. Much easier to get flat and the screw fixings wont shatter the carbon. I also assume you know you will need to use epoxy resin and not polyester as it wont take to hot oil too well over a period of time. I think Ian's idea is a dam...

4.6 heads aren't going to help power as they flow virtually the same as all the rover heads bar the early ones. If its the cam I think it is you might want to re-consider using that cam as it really is a race cam and should be used with stage 3 heads and high compression. It might be a bit of a hand...

Since you just got the car I would recomend you give it a full service. At least then you will know where you stand with parts that are considered to be consumables.

it might be part of Real steels cam range, if it is going by the numbers its a serious cam (race cam) and cant be used on an unmodified engine. You will have to machine the valve guides use competition springs and possibly pocket the pistons to stop the valves hitting. Its also a mechanical cam whic...

Just another thought you say the preview window sticks so I take it you are previewing the post first before you submit? If so as a test just submit right away and see what happens.

just done a search over on PHPBB and there doesn't seem to be any issues with ff2 so maybe something odd in your setup. Try IE and see if it works, you can est send to me if you like.
