I find it strange.It was running ok with them before i blew head gasket..Since rebuild,it has been crap..I have colortuned it now,and got electric blue burn,but cant take it for test run coz of bloody rain...Have cleaned them new seals etc...When rain stops,will test it again..

Thanks all for your help..Got some more carbs to try first,to eliminate that side of the problem.Will keep you informed...

Hi Again,I have finaly got my 3.5 V8 Running now..It starts first time ticks over well...Problem..When I first took trike for a run,It was gutless...Wouldnt pick up..When I pulled choke on it took off...The carbs have been balanced,and synched...I richened it up a bit after first run out,It was a bi...

Thing is ,they are sparking...The pipes on 1 and 7,are colder than 3and 5,which are very hot...I will have to do a compression test on it over the next few days....It ran the other day,all be it a bit rough..And every now and then,the revs picked up on that side of the engine....

Retimed the engine,rotor facing 1....Start it,and still 1,and 7,not firing....All plugs new,leads new,new dizzy cap...Checked that all leads in correct order.....No air leak on inlet manifold...Don't know what else to do....All pots have compression...

Thanks Dave.Gonna Move rotor arm on dizzy ,so it faces no 1 pot,and then make sure I have timed it to that one....And see how it goes then...Dave ,I have heard of crossfiring,what is this..??As you can polly tell,I dont know much about V8's.More of a motorbike engine,or 4 cylinders..

I've done that a couple f times to makesure....Gonna check if there is an air leak on inlet manifold,and try and retime it again,see what happens..Thanx for your reply...

And i forgot to say,that the plugs and leads are all new,and all are sparking.

Hi again..I just run my trike engine,a 3.5 v8...With DLMN8 Dizzy,with box on side .I was to put a timing light to set timing..It was running like a bag of nails and started to knock,so I switched it off...I reset the timing statically...IE no 1 cylinder..The rotor arm wasnt facing no 1 pot...So I se...

Thanks People for the Replies...I have a funny feeling that I may have replaced coil with the wrong one..The Coil does spark if you test it out of circuit....I have a spare distributer (DLMN8),with amp on side of it....it has a three pin socket on it...Every diagram i have seen,seems to have 2 wires...

I forgot to mention,its a 3.5 v8 rover engine in a trike...

Hi,I am Kev,and new to this forum,and would apreciate a little help.I have just replaced cylinder heads after head gasket blown,and have replaced the Coil,as broke pins of old one...Now I cannot get any sparks at all..It has an Electronic Ignition,3 wires to a remote module,new spark plus and coil.....
