hi the extractors are made by kd tools,they are very good ,firstly make a drill bush ,say your stud is 3/8 dia,get an old bolt and drill 1/8 drill through it place the bolt in the manifold and drill through the bush through the broken stud ,so that you drill right in the centre of the stud,once you ...

very nice project good luck with the mk3 ,always wanted one never seen one in the flesh though,only know of one in my area. the gilbern club have a stand in manchester this weekend might see one there.

i have allways wanted a gilbern but had never seen one for sale or at a good price,allways thought the mk3 was the best,but now i prefer the mk2 as it has the chassis strengthening but fitting a v8 would require more cutting than i would have wanted to do ,as i know of a mk3 with a ford 302 in it.bu...

just put 83 in secondries,86 in primaries,67-55 metering rods,silver springs.in carb ,turned fuel regulator up to 5 ,sorted running great now ,no back firing.

hi my car is doing the exact same thing ,i have done nothing to the car and it is getting worse,back firing through carb,very undriveble,thought it was timed wrong,ended up richening carb runs much better,now going to change main jets ,may change rods to.

oh yes ,8 track it never took off,bit of a problem getting decent tapes though,i think i will run the car for a bit and enjoy it .it was going to be used everyday but now im having doubts as it is to good to leave out in all weathers ,so for now its a fair weather car

here are a few more photos,it seems that the car has a vinyl dash,most of the mk2 have a vaneer dash ,it was a factory option i think it looks better,

had a play with the gilbern today,engine sounds realy nice,i only need to bleed the brakes,but i am having trouble,will have to borrow a preashure bleeder.cant wait to go for a drive.

yes is an invader mk2 ,the suspension is mgc , you can get an mgb with a v8 in ,you would think there would be some v6 in an mgb,but i have never heard of one,unless the mgb has a different suspension to the mgc,thought it only had different hubs one 4 stud and other 5 . might be wrong but i have ne...
