I tried Burlen this morning, but they said they don't have the parts to help which I was a little surprised about.

Hopefully TCs attempts to take the top down on the SU carbs he has will do the trick, in the meantime I'll see if I can another source for Dolomite Sprint carb parts.

Thanks Perry, the MGB manifold sounds a good option and even if it's a bit pricey must be cheaper than the webber/offy otpion!? Russell

Thanks for the tip Mike - my brother has an MGB, I'll check his spares box/contacts!

TC - that would be great, please give it a go and let me know, thanks.

Thanks for the advice - fortunately my Stag already has a two bar, just need to modify the heating oil tank in the garden and fit it with a set of wheels to expand the fuel tank capacity! :) Maybe I'll try and get an offy/webber set instead, though I don't really want to pay £500 for a new set, anyo...

Thanks for your comments guys. You're right Harvey I've seen carbs modified as you described, but I'm struggling to find someone to do them, will keep looking.

RV8 in my Stag - need to modify the carbs

Hi, anyone know where I can get the pots on my SUs modified so that they sit under a standard Stag bonnet. I'm getting the boby work restored and the bonnet which has had a bulge inserted badly is shot, thanks.

Ramon,

Thanks for the suggestions, do you know where I can buy a set of new bushes? - you're right the other option does sound drastic, but I may go there if the bushes don't sort the problem! Russ

LT77 box pops out of reverse

Hi, I have an early SD1 V8 with an LT77 fitted in my Stag and the box pops out of reverse occasionally. Anything I can do without exchanging/stripping the box e.g. new high grade oil? Thanks. Russ

It's a bubber hose so I'll need to replace it, thanks for the helpful suggestions on where to go to get a new one. Russ.

Power steering hohses

Hi, I have a very earlier SD1 fitted in my Stag and the power steering hose has burst. I'm assuming it's the high pressure hose as it has pressure fixings at both ends whereas the second pipe doesn't. Anyone know where I can get a hose, or make any suggesting about how I can re-attach the burst pipe...

Rover engine in a Stag - I need bonnet clearance urgently

Hi, Thanks for the reply, missed the chopped down SUs and been away a lot recently. Anyway, does anyone know where I can get the Carbs on my engine chopped down to provide sufficient clearance to put a standard bonnet on my Stag? Russ.

Stag bonnet with a bulge

Hi, anyone know where I can buy a Stag bonnet with a bulge to fit my car which has a Rover V8 fitted, or a reasonably priced manifold/carb/filter set to give the required clearance for a standard bonnet? Thanks. Russ
